This is a great site! I purchased a paniting from an artist. Now I want to resell it. I know under the First Sale rule I am allowed to resell the paniting. However, may I take a photograph of the paniting for purposes of advertising the sale? I want to put an ad on my website that shows an image of the original paniting I am selling. Would that photograph be an infringing copy of the original work?
